One Piece Chapter 1078 Spoilers

Chapter 1,078: “Escape time limit“.

Cover: Emotional Excursions of Germa 66, Vol. 33: “Neo MADS is established”. On the cover, Caesar and Judge hold hands while Germa soldiers celebrate the alliance, and Ichiji, Reiju, … sigh in the background.

The chapter begins with Stussy using her personal Den Den Mushi to speak directly to Sentomaru. Stacey informs him that Kizaru is heading to Egghead Island. The World Government’s plan is for the Navy to go as a backup as the World Government is taking preventive measures.

1. Vegapunk’s research content is already beyond Ohara’s discoveries.
2. Egghead has a much better defense force than O’Hara.

That is why the World Government is using far more force than normal Buster calls. It is shown that people have started evacuating the entire Egghead Island.

Franky’s group: Frankie is partially paralyzed because half of his body has been petrified, but he can still speak. Pythagoras tearfully asks the S-Snake who gave this order. S-Snake approaches Pythagoras without responding and stomps on it, causing a large explosion.

Robin’s group: Robin says that while everyone else is busy fighting the Seraphim, something might happen to Stella. Atlas says there is an abandoned laboratory that was closed long ago. Robin asks Atlas to take her and Chopper.

Luffy’s group: Since Seraphim does not let their flames go out, Luffy and the others are still unable to control the flames. Suddenly, S-Hawk disappears from the battle. Lucci says that Seraphim switching targets and looking for the weaker members of the group will cause the stronger members (such as Luffy) to lose their power. Zoro and Kaku chasing S Hawk. After that, the narrator begins to speak as we see Bonney sitting and crying over Kuma’s memory.

Narrator: “All this happened the day before the famous “Egghead Incident“. However, the cause of this incident was 3 months ago…”

A new flashback begins: Three months ago, Mary Geoyes received a message from Egghead Island. A mysterious person reports that Vegapunk is investigating the “Void Century“. The World Government has sent multiple Cipher Pol agents to find out if it is true. The Cipher Pole agents found no evidence, but they all disappeared along the way. A little later, the mysterious person was called Mary Geoise again. This time, the mysterious person talks directly to Gorōsei. After the conversation, Gorosei was convinced that Vegapunk had betrayed them.

However, in order to prepare for Vegapunks’ retaliation, the members of Gorosei decide to go with Kizaru and other Marines from each of the Marine Corps bases. The force that follows Egghead is the scale of the war.

As the narrator speaks, we can see a collage of images of Saturn, Kizaru, Vice Admiral Doll, and some new Marines (This is a page similar to the Marines arriving at Marineford in chapter 524 of the Manga.)

Narrator: “The outcome of the “Egghead Incident” that occurred the next day will shake the world in ways no one could have imagined!”

A double page at the end of the chapter reveals who the traitor is. The traitor is York, she appears in front of Vegapunk. She has the same adorable smile we’ve seen in past chapters, but with a creepy twist.

York: “Hey Vegapunk, I’m going to become a Dragon Folk (Tenryuubito!!)”

Vegapunk: “what did you say? Didn’t you see them when she was in Mary Geoise?! Why do you want to be such a despicable human being!!?”

York: “Shaka would have said the same… but now he is dead!! Ahahaha!! All those vegapunks are a nuisance… the world just needs a one
vegapunk!!”
