On September 23, the total number of streams for BLACKPINK’s second longest album ‘Born Pink’ on Spotify exceeded the first week and 170,868,229 streams in the first week of release. With a total of seven tracks, the album currently ranks as the most streamed album by K-pop girl group of 2022 on Spotify, and the second biggest debut album behind BTS.
Notably, the album’s title song, “Shut Down”, peaked at number two in the first week the K-pop artist debuted on Spotify in 2022, over 43.7 million streams for the week. “Pink Venom” is the group’s first self-produced song.
