All The Major Dinosaurs Shown in Jurassic World Dominion, Listed

The Jurassic World Dominion is on the big screen and the dinosaur franchise is over (for now). Jurassic World: Set four years after the fallen kingdom, this new film focuses on the unpleasant present-side humans and prehistoric creatures. Things are further complicated by the threat of ecological disasters by Biocene Genetics, a company with a herd of prehistoric creatures in the sanctuary of the Dolomites, Italy. Unleashed a herd of genetically modified locusts in the world.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard’s Jurassic World star visit Jurassic Park graduates Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum, but of course, there are many dinosaurs involved. But who will appear in the new film? You can see the colorful creatures below, but be careful. The Destroyers of Jurassic World Dominion are ahead, so scroll down only if you’ve seen the movie.

Every dinosaur featured in the trailer for Jurassic World Dominion – listed in order of appearance

Tyrannosaurus rex

The T-Rex in question is Rexie, who first appeared in the original Jurassic Park films and then reappeared in Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. In Dominion, she is seen wreaking havoc on the drive-in at the beginning of the film and trying to calm him down. The sequence was expanded on the Jurassic World Domination prologue before the film.

Mosasaurus

Mosasaurus is a carnivorous aquatic lizard, and the film begins with a giant aquatic creature attacking a crab fishing boat. It capsized the ship and devoured its crew.

Parasaurolophus

The film opens with Irving capturing a ctenophobia while riding a horse in the Sierra Nevada. These dinosaurs ran in packs and had unique crowns on top of their heads.

Apatosaurus

The film opens with Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Simmons) spotting an Apatosaurus in the lumberyard near Owen and Claire’s cabin. It is a huge herbivore with a long tail and a long neck.

Velociraptor

Velociraptor is probably the most indispensable dinosaur in the Jurassic World Series (sorry, Rexie). Owen, a former Raptor trainer in Jurassic World, has a special connection to the last remaining Raptor Blue. In Dominion, it is revealed that Blue was able to reproduce asexually due to her monitor lizard DNA, and she now has a daughter, Beta, who was captured by the Byocene.

Dreadnoughtus

One of the most impressive scenes in the movie is that of the dreadnought. According to Wiki, it is the absolute animal, “the largest mass of all land animals that can be calculated with reasonable certainty”. In another, she is big! Alan and Ellie watch Dauntless as they approach the Biocin facility.

Atrociraptor

Another raptor, Atrociraptor is a dinosaur set by dinosaur smuggler Sayona Santos (Dichen Lachman), while Owen and Barry (Omar C) search for Beta and Macy in Malta.

Allosaurus and Carnotaurus

An Allosaurus and Carnotaurus have both escaped captivity in Malta’s black market and are seen roaming the city’s streets while Owen tries to escape on a motorcycle.

Quetzalcoatlus

The feathered serpent was a long-necked, winged dinosaur. As he, Claire, and Owen attempt to land at the Biocin Refuge on a mission to find Macy and Beta, a man attacks Kayla’s (Devanda Wise) plane. The plane crashes due to damage caused by Quetzalcoatl, and Claire must use the plane’s ejection seat to escape.

Therizinosaurus

After Kayla’s plane is damaged, Claire comes face to face with a Therizinosaurus and escapes from the ejection seat in the forest of the Biosine Sanctuary. What follows is a tense scene where Claire has to hide quietly underwater until the dinosaur loses its sense of smell and roams around – which director Colin Trevorrow tells us is her favorite scene in the film. Therizinosaurus also reappears at the end of the film and helps Rexie defeat Giganotosaurus.

Pyroraptor

After Owen and Kyra’s plane crashes due to the damage caused by Quetzalcoatl, Pyroraptor attacks Owen and Kyra on a frozen lake in the Bayocene Refuge. It is red and has feathers on its legs – this dinosaur could even swim, as it managed to dig a hole in the ice and chase the pair under water. According to Children’s Facts (opens in a new tab), there is no evidence that pyroraptors can swim in real life. In fact, this isn’t the first time the Jurassic franchise hasn’t taken root…

Dilophosaurus

At the end of the film, Biosyn CEO Lewis Dodgson (Campbell Scott) is trying to escape the company headquarters when he encounters a group of Dilophosaurus that spits venom at him and may then eat him. It’s a brutal ending — and a nice throwback to the character of Dennis Nedry (Wayne Knight) in the original Jurassic Park movie, who was also killed by a Dilophosaurus. Dinosaurs had crowns on their heads and red tassels on their necks.

Giganotosaurus

Giganotosaurus encounters Owen, Claire, and the original Jurassic Park trio in the Watchtower of the Biocene Headquarters, who try to devise a way to escape and attack the Sanctuary. It was one of the largest known carnivorous dinosaurs and also faced off against Tyrannosaurus rex in the film’s finale.
