The One Piece Super Stage event recently concluded with the 2nd Jump Festa 2023. At the event, the voice actors shared the new One Piece film: Red and were given some previews from chapter 1070, the next manga chapter in the franchise.
The new One Piece Chapter 1070 already has a lot of hype because it will introduce a full-scale battle between Luffy and his former opponent Rob Lucci. The fight will be a new level of carnage.
One Piece Chapter 1070 will be released on Monday, 26 December 2022 around 12:00PM JST. Fans can read it in MangaPlus, Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine, Viz Media’s official website, and Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ app.

One Piece Chapter 1070 Spoilers
We don’t have a full plot recap or raw scan for One Piece Chapter 1070, but we do have some info. Chapter 1070 spoilers and hints will be released on December 18th or 19th, 2022 and raw scans and recaps will be released between Wednesday December 21st (earliest) and Thursday December 23rd (latest). Today, we’ve listed a few confirmed spoilers provided by the leakers below.
They hinted that the fight between Luffy and Rob Lucci would be centered in One Piece Chapter 1070, as fans had expected. Additionally, a new preview panel for the chapter was unveiled at the Jump Festa 2023 event and was a hit with fans.

- Luffy’s new Attack is called “Gum-Gum’s Doon (White) Rocket”!
- Luffy creates glasses from his hair out of his imagination
One Piece 1070 Chapter Title: THE MOST POWERFUL HUMANS
- The title refers to Seraphims, as they’re fed artificial devil fruits
- Cover: Five scientists who came together for humanity and the world. The five scientists are Vegapunk, Judge, Caesar, Queen, and a woman.
- Luffy vs Lucci continues, but Lucci still can’t land a hit. Luffy hits him with “Gomu Gomu no Dawn (Doon) Rocket”.
- SENTOUMARU is not dead, but he is defeated and they take him away to treat him.
– Vegapunk explains the difficulty of replicating Devil Fruits:
- Zoan is the easiest because it’s mostly based on animals, but mythology is really hard and seems to require special conditions.
- Paramecia only needs the user’s lineage factor.
- Logias: Vegapunk doesn’t want to talk about Logias because it’s basically impossible to replicate.
- On the last page of the chapter, we see Kizaru leading a fleet towards Egghead Island.

In the panel above, we can see Luffy uses his imagination to create glasses out of his hair. Luffy can be seen punching Lucci with his outstretched arm, which then creates a comical effect of a peanut shaped on Lucci’s stomach as he stretches from the punch.
These panels show that Luffy is still more stronger fighter of the two. Moreover, the awakened Lucci’s power is not as strong as the Straw Hat Pirates’ Ultimate, so it seems that he brought this battle home very easily.
