Watch: Silent Hill Remake gets gameplay

The team of independent producers at Codeless Studio has shared a new gameplay video from their fan project, they are creating their own remake of Silent Hill based on Unreal Engine 5.

The 10-minute gameplay video shows the level with elementary school, something similar to the beginning of the games. The animations in the remake look pretty messy and lack post-processing effects, but the ambience and detailing are fine.

On the one hand, everything feels fresh about the new engine, but it doesn’t feel quite as exciting and lacks the classic tension that made Silent Hill so iconic. However, this fan-made remake has technological advantages over the others and the developers aim to get the job done.
