The official website for the Kanojo, Okarishimasu (Rent-A-Girlfriend) anime, which is an adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima, revealed a new promotional image for the project’s second season.
The statement confirmed that the sequel is slated for a July 1, 2022 release in Japan. Additionally, a special will air on June 24, 2022 and will feature the voice cast. The special will review the first season, do a character analysis and expectations for this sequel.

The official website also released the new character design of Kazuya Kinoshita, who is played by voice actor Shun Horie.
The author, Reiji Miyajima, began publishing the manga through Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine in July 2017.
The work inspired a 12-episode anime adaptation, produced by studio TMS Entertainment, under the direction of Kazuomi Koga and scripts written by Mitsutaka Hirota, released in July 2020. Production of a second season is confirmed, and it is scheduled to premiere in 2020. July 2022.

Kinoshita Kazuya is a 20-year-old failed student. He’d only kissed his girlfriend once, and dumped him after a month. “Gee, I never want to go through that again.” Filled with rancor, Kazuya decides to turn to a girlfriend rental app to get him a date. He arranges a date and meets Mizuhara Chizuru, who tucks her long black hair behind her ear and greets him with a smile. From this rental encounter, something real can emerge! A heartless romantic comedy, full of love and twists!
