Netflix has announced during the past direct that the Seven Deadly Sins franchise’s new animated project, The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudge of Edinburgh, will premiere on the streaming platform next December. The two-part animated film will be about Tristan, son of Melodias. The release date of the sequel will be announced soon.

Along with the announcement comes news of the first voice actors and actresses who will be part of the project. To date, it has been confirmed that Yuki Kaji will repeat his role as Melodias, while he will be joined by Mikako Komatsu, who will voice his younger son, Tristan, and Ayumu Murase, who will play teenage Tristan.
Bob Shirahata directs this animated project with Noriyuki Abe as director. The production team is completed by Rintaro Ikeda as screenwriter and Alfred Imageworks and Marvy Jack in animation.
The Seven Deadly Sins: Grudges of Edinburgh is based on Nakaba Suzuki‘s original Mokushiroku no Yon-kishi manga (translated as The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse), the sequel to his best-selling The Seven Deadly Sins. Although it will offer an original, the story focuses on the firstborn of the protagonist of the main saga. Mangaka began serializing this Shannon in Weekly Shannon magazine in January 2021.
Additionally, The Seven Deadly Sins has anime adaptations as well. On the one hand, A-1 Pictures produced the first two seasons of the animated series based on the Manga, as well as the film Prisoners of the Sky and the OVA series The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War.
