Nintendo nostalgia is coming to the big screen next year. The trailer of “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” was shared during New York Comic Con on October 6, giving a first look at the video game adaptation starring Chris Pratt as the main character.
In the first trailer, Bowser, voiced by Jack Black, can be seen dominating his Koopa Troopas, which engage in battle against the less threatening army of penguins. After the reptilian villain finds the coveted superstar, Mario is introduced to the audience. who awakens in the Mushroom Kingdom and is led by Todd, voiced by Keegan-Michael Key. “Which place is this?” he asks.
“The Super Mario Bros. Movie”. directed by Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath, who previously wrote “Teen Titans Go!” together for CN. The screenplay is by Matthew Fogel, who last wrote “Minions: The Rise of Gru”. Other notable actors in the cast include Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, and Seth Rogen.
