One Piece prepares to share other important new announcements on a special day to celebrate the franchise 25th anniversary this summer! Series creator Eiichiro Oda announced that he would take a long hiatus before returning for the final saga of the long-running manga series, but that’s not all. Oda also revealed how much news is packed for One Piece next summer, not just in regards to the manga and anime, but the entire franchise including the videogame portion in general.

One Piece is gearing up for a great summer this year, and although several releases have already been anticipated, it looks like there’s still a lot of work to be done. The franchise official Twitter account announced a new “One Piece Day” over the weekend of July 22-23, showcasing more projects being built with the promise of a “Definitive festival“.
It’s not clear at the moment what kind of announcements we’ll see for the rest of One Piece Day event, but it will certainly be something fans will have to keep an eye on.
