Pokémon Go has announced its upcoming Season of Light event. This is the first Halloween event of the 2022 game.
Pokémon Go’s Season of Lights starts on September 1, 2022, and it’s packed with fun events like Niantic Fashion Week and Psychic Spectacular. In 2022, Pokémon Go finally starts getting into the Halloween spirit as the new Season of Light begins.

Pokémon Go Halloween 2022 Event Part 1 dates and times
According to the official Pokémon Go website, Halloween 2022 Event Part I will begin at 10:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, October 20, 2022, and end at 10:00 a.m. local time on Thursday, October 27, 2022.
Pokémon Go Halloween 2022 Part 1 Mega Banette debut
Pokémon Go will get another Mega Evolution during the 2022 Halloween event. This time in Mega Banette format.
Players can catch Mega Banette in Mega Raids and face Shiny variation.
Pokémon Go Halloween 2022 Event Part 1 New Avatar Items
There are new items available in the shop for you to wear your avatar and use your emotes.

Shiny Noibat can be encountered for the first time in Pokémon Go. Noibat that hatch from these eggs will also have a greater chance of being Shiny than Noibat found in the wild.

After completing field research tasks, players may encounter the following Pokémon:

Players can earn Gengar Mega Energy and Absol Mega Energy by completing research in certain areas.
Pokemon Go Halloween 2022 Event Part 1 Timed Research
In addition to the Special Research available to all instructors, paid tickets for Time Research are also available during the event.
Timed Research has two types of tickets, $1 and $5, respectively.
Ticket 1 gives access to Time Research featuring encounters with Yamask and Galar Yamask. This ticket provides access to Two Time Research. This increased candy bonuses, additional Halloween-themed tasks, and poses for your avatar.
