Netflix’s The Witcher franchise continues to expand, as does its timeline, as each episode explores the past and present of the world of The Witcher. To make things easier for viewers, Netflix dropped an official timeline for The Witcher’s World of Warcraft ahead of The Witcher: Blood Origins release date.
The Witcher has posted photos from the upcoming animated film Nightmare of the Wolves on social media and from both seasons of The Witcher. The events of Blood Origins, which center around the Union of the Golems, mark their 0th year, and Season 2 takes place in 1264, a year after the conclusion of Season 1.
The Witcher Spin-Off Series To Premiere In December
The Witcher: Blood Origin is set to act as a prequel to a larger story. The continent appears 1200 years before the Witcher’s events. Scheduled for release on December 25, 2022. Here’s the official synopsis for the series:
“Every story has a beginning. Discover the continent’s secret history with The Witcher: Blood Origins. The Witcher: Blood Origins is set in an immersive world 1200 years before the events of The Witcher.” Blood Origins tells stories lost in time. The events that lead to the creation of the first prototype of Witcher and the discovery of the “Conjunction of the Spheres” where the world of demons, humans and elves merged to become one.”
Michelle Yeoh of Everything Everywhere All At Once will lead the series, and Laurence O’Fuarain play Fjall. The series also features Jacob Collins-Levy as Eredin. The show is set 1200 years ago, so fans might be surprised how this turns out, but it’s possible he’s playing a character with storytelling abilities.
