The third season of the (Honzuki no Gekokujou) Ascendance of a Bookworm anime has come to an end, and the novel author, Miya Kazuki shared a message.
The third season of the Honzuki no Gekokujou anime ended last week, and at the moment there is no news about a new installment. However, with the end of her broadcast, the creator of the original light novel, Miya Kazuki shared a message about it. This was posted on the anime adaptation’s Twitter account, as was an illustration by Yu Shiina, who is in charge of the art for the novels.
Kazuki decided to handwrite her comments. She begins by saying “thank you for watching the third season of the anime! Did you enjoy it?” Afterward, she added, “Many of the characters have become more attractive in the anime than in the novel, so I hope you find your favorite!” It seems that she is very satisfied with the work done by the studio Ajia-do Animation Works, which is in charge of the animation of the series.
Miya Kazuki went on to say “still, the anime broadcast ended in an instant. I feel like I have a huge hole in my chest.” He finished off with “If you are interested in Myne and her friends after this, please read the original novel! Thank you for your continued support of Honzuki no Gekokujou!” Ultimately, the idea behind an animated adaptation is to help sell the manga or novel it’s based on.
In that sense, the Honzuki no Gekokujou anime, known in English as Ascendance of a Bookworm, has fulfilled its purpose. Not for nothing has been three seasons so far. The first came out in 2019 and the second in 2020. At first they were handled as the first and second halves, but they ended up staying as seasons. The third arrived on Crunchyroll last April and thus reached many countries around the world.
Honzuki no Gekokujou (Ascendance of a Bookworm) Key Visual
Sure, with the exception of Japan and the rest of Asia. Is there material for a fourth season? I would say so since Kazuki has accumulated 29 compiled volumes of his work so far. This writer has already talked about the end of Myne’s adventures, but there is a lot of material that she can draw from. It is likely that everything ends with volume 12 of the fifth part, which is how it has divided the story of the light novel.
At least that was what he declared in an interview that was published in March of this year. Although the novel ends anyway, the anime remains.
