Jujutsu Kaisen 0: What the Post-credits scene means and how it will affect the season 2 of the anime

Jujutsu Kaisen 0: What the Post-credits scene means

The long-awaited premiere of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ has finally arrived and Sunghoo Park’s anime film has left us wanting more. We’ll still have to wait until 2023 to see how the story continues, but the post-credits scene has left us with a small preview of what’s to come.

Be careful, there are spoilers about the end of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ and the post-credits scene!

From enemies to allies

After all the credits for the film and when it seems that all the “fish” are sold out, ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ delivers one last scene with a possible preview of the anime’s season 2.

In this scene we surprisingly see yuta sitting at a table with Miguel. They are both in Kenya, which is confirmed by the presence of the UAP Old Mutual Tower in the cityscape that can be seen during the sequence.

Unlike in the film, Miguel no longer seems to be an antagonist when we find him following Geto’s orders, but he and yuta are calm enough to talk and have lunch together. Miguel becomes upset when Gozo appears out of nowhere, and it looks like he has a plan in hand.

This scene connects directly to a small moment in the second opening of the anime, where yuta looks at the camera and Miguel with his back. The two practically wear the same clothes as in the post-credits scenes and look like they’re working together.

It remains to be specified what Gojo’s plans were and what strategy he planned to reunite with Yuta and Miguel, but the post-credits scene of ‘Jujutsu Kaisen 0’ takes place sometime after the film. It is actually possible to fix continuity in the anime when, during the series, Gojo claims to have returned from a “business trip” abroad and gives some savior amulets to the Kyoto students. This amulet may have been the work of Miguel or may have been made with his help.

This scene confirms that Miguel is now an ally in a certain way and is helping both Gojo and Yuta, which we may see again in the season 2 of the anime series.
