Today the official Twitter account of Toilet-bound Hanako-kun, the official website and official page of the series announced that the “Toilet-bound Hanako-kun Anime Project Restart” was released, along with a teaser trailer and key visuals, and other details about the project were not announced at the time of the report.
The final Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun anime aired in 2020 has 12 episodes. Directed by Masaomi Andou (Rumble Garanndoll, Scum’s Wish), character design by Mayuka Itou, series composition by Yasuhiro Nakanishi (A Couple of Cuckoos), and animation production by Lerche.
The series published by Square Enix began serialization in Monthly G Fantasy in 2014, and as of August 2022, 19 volumes have been published. It inspired a spin-off titled After School Hanako-kun.
Yen Press released the manga digitally, describing the story as follows:
