Justin Lin, former director of Fast X, will be in charge of the One-Punch Man live-action
Reported by Deadline, former Fast & Furious series director Justin Lin has been tapped by Sony Pictures to direct the live-action One-Punch Man.
This project was announced in 2020 and seemed to have been forgotten, so it was somewhat of a surprise to see this sudden announcement.
The tremendously successful manga by ONE(code name of the author who prefers to remain anonymous) was born as a webcomic project in 2009, but after gaining popularity, the legendary mangaka Yusuke Murata asked permission to re-draw the work and publish it in Jump Next in 2012, to then reach the world of anime and video games.
The last script for the film was written by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinker, whom we know from Jumanji: The Next Level and Venom.
So far there are no more details of the tape.
