It has been more than a year since we enjoyed the colossal battle between Godzilla and Kong, which came to confirm the continuity of Legendary’s Monsterverse. Now Netflix has given us clues of what is on the way.
Netflix just presented us with the newest of the Monsterverse, taking us back to Skull Island through an animated series that will be called Skull Island and which will show us more details of the land where Kong and his reign were born.
This first glimpse showed us the panorama of two castaways standing on a Kong footprint marked on the sand. If we follow the chronology of the monsterverse, it is likely that it will not be set after Godzilla and Kong, since by that time our favorite ape is no longer on the island.
Skull Island Anime First Look
Skull Island would show us a timeline of the Monsterverse set during the 70’s (after the first Kong movie). At this time, let’s not forget that we have already announced a series for Apple TV + in addition to a new film installment that, although we do not have too many details, will surely be full of monsters everywhere.
