Amane Fujimiya, a high school student, lives in his own apartment, but rarely cleans his apartment and often leaves the place dirty. Hence, he always sees them eating readymade prepared food at convenience stores and restaurants. However, he cares a lot for others and always tries to think before making an informed decision. He lives right next door to Mahiru Shiina, a cute named fairy from the series, and she shares the same class, but he has never spoken to her.
When he finally met her, she sitting alone on the playground in the rain, he offered her an umbrella, which she accepted. In return, Mahiru decides to help Amane with her living conditions, drastically changing her lifestyle choices and teaching her basic household chores such as cooking and cleaning. As Amane’s home life begins to improve, he slowly finds himself falling in love with Mahiru.
