Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: Overworld shinies finally confirmed: It has been confirmed that the Shiny Pokémon can be seen from the overworld in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, which many fans have been waiting for.
We have less than a month left from the release of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet on November 18th. Details are slowly being revealed to give players an idea of what to expect from the franchise’s first open-world entry.
After getting a chance to play some new games, Pokémon fansite Serebii answered one of the community’s biggest questions: Will Shinies appear in the overworld like in Legends Arceus?
Overworld shinies finally confirmed For Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
that’s good news. This is because Shiny Pokémon are really only seen in the Overworld. This means you can hunt Shiny without having to battles every Pokémon you see out in the wild.

“After Let’s Go and Legends: Arceus, their Shiny Pokémon are fully visible in Overworld, which is a huge improvement over Sword and Shield,” they wrote in the game’s preview.
Shiny Pokémon that Serebii encountered was sixth-generation Skiddo, but they was unable to detect whether there was an audible or visual indication that a Shiny was nearby.
Elsewhere in the preview, it’s explained that you’ll be able to start fighting without animations or loading screens, allowing Pokémon and characters to stay in the background and continue fighting throughout.
You can’t catch a wild Pokémon outside of a battles like in the legendary Arces, but you can throw a Pokéball to start the fight. You can even sneak up on them at the beginning of the fight to give them a “little boost”.
