There is a new trailer for the Ame o Tsugeru Hyouryuu Danchi movie, which will be known outside of Japan as Drifting Home and is coming to Netflix.
Studio Colorido, the company behind Nakitai Watashi wa Neko o Kaburu, aka Amor de Gata, has an agreement with Netflix to release original movies on their service and one of them is Drifting Home. This film is known in Japan as Ame or Tsugeru Hyouryuu Danchi and a new trailer was recently released. Along with this came a bit of new information about the cast of voice actors and actresses who will participate in this production.
This is how Bin Shimada plays Yasuji Kumagaya, who is the grandfather of one of the main characters, Kōsuke Kumagaya, and who treats Natsume Tonai as his own granddaughter. Nana Mizuki also stars as Satoko Tonai, who is Natsume’s mother. In addition to the seiyuu mentioned above, others participate. This is how Mutsumi Tamura plays Kōsuke in the film, while Asami Seto is behind Natsume.

As for the production team for Drifting Home for Netflix, there are several talented creatives involved. Hiroyasu Ishida of Penguin Highway and Fumiko’s Confession is directing this film and writing the script alongside two writers.
The first is Hayashi Mori, who participated in Hataraku Saibou Black, and the second is Minaka Sakamoto, who worked in Babylon. Akihiro Nagae of Fastening Days is designing the characters, and Fumi Katō, director of animation for Penguin Highway, is the assistant character designer. Umitarō Abe, also from Penguin Highway, is composing the music. Planning falls to Twin Engine. There is also information about the musical themes.
Iinoni’s Zutto Mayonaka. (ZUTOMAYO) performs the intermission song Natsugare (Summer Depression), as well as the main melody, which is not yet known. As planned Drifting Home will arrive on Netflix on September 16 and that same day it will be on the billboard in Japan. As such, it is the third film created by Studio Colores in its history.
