Uzaki-chan Second Season Will Premiere in October

On the official website of the anime Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! (Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!), a manga adaptation written and illustrated by Take, has released the first official promo video for the project second season.

The video confirmed that the sequel is to premiere in the Fall 2022 season (October to December), and it was revealed that the opening theme would be performed by singers Kano and Naomi Ozora, titled “Ichigo Ichie Celebration (Once-in- a-Lifetime Celebration)”.

It’s worth remembering that this second season will be titled Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! ω, with “ω” pronounced as double “(double)”.

Author Tech began publishing the manga in December 2017 through Niconico Seiga’s Dra Dra Sharp portal. The play inspired a twelve-episode animated adaptation produced by Studio ENGI, directed by Kazuya Miura and written by Takashi Aoshima, released in July 2020.

• Takashi Aoshima (Himouto! Umaruchan, Yuruyuri, Sabagebu!) is responsible for writing and supervising the scripts.
• Manabu Kurihara (Hataage! Kemonomichi), Masahiko Suzuki (Kami no Tou, Kumo Desu ga, Nani ka?) and Shinpei Koikawa (IS: Infinite Stratos, High School DxD Hero) are designing the characters and directing the animation.

Sakurai Shinichi’s only wish is some peace and quiet. But Uzaki Hana – her boisterous and thriving fledgling – has other plans. She wants him to go out and make fun of him. With the help of her alluring charm and lively persistence, this could be just the beginning of a beautiful relationship!
